Magnetosensitive fluids

fluids are stable suspensions of magnetically polarisable micro particles, suspended in fluids of low volatility usually of a polyalphaolefinic synthetic nature.
The main characteristic of these fluids is represented by their ability to modify their rheology depending on a relatively low magnetic field.

These fluids can change instantly and are reversible from their fluid state into a solid state if suitably excited by a magnetic field. Their main applications are:

1. Positioning and motion control in linear systems
2. Breaking systems and clutches
3. Vibration dampers at controllable friction
4. Active Suspension
5. Anti-seismic systems

Ferrofluids

Ferrofluids are stable colloidal solutions of single-domain magnetic particles. They are characterized by nanometer-sized particles suspended in fluids containing surfactants.

The base fluids are selected depending on the application, and can be of a polyalphaolefinic nature, esters, fluorine, aqueous, silicone etc. Ferrofluids possess the peculiarity of not migrating from their site of application when subjected to an appropriately dimensioned magnetic field. Their main applications are:

1. Observation of magnetic domains
2. Magnetic inks
3. Speakers
4. Dynamic seals
5. Biomedical
6. Separation of materials with different magnetic sensitivities

Special magnets

The distinguishing factor behind the success of the Special MACON range of magnets is the ability to produce upon receipt of orders submitted by the customers, while studying with them the best solutions for the use of the magnet.

Our products are mainly applied to the production of permanent magnet motors, timers, generators, tachometers for washing machines, sensors, and gas and fluid meters. They are available, depending on the application, in: isotropic and anisotropic ferrite, Neodymium Iron Boron, etc..
