The dissipation of heat accumulated by the electronic and electromechanical components may cause a premature rupture of the components; although there is no significant existing friction, the presence of a dissipating surface and a plastic element with high thermal dissipation that channels the energy accumulated outwards is fundamental, preventing overheating and a consequent failure of the component.
Macon Research has developed a series of ad hoc solutions, from silicones and organic fluids, depending on the specific application area; for temperatures higher than 200°C there is the Thermalpaste 8500, a thermal paste conveyed in fluorinated oil of medium viscosity, for higher thermal stability and complete non-flammability of the compound.
Product | Base fluid | Thickener / Additives / Solid lubricants | Temperature range | Application |
Thermalpaste 6500 | PAO | Gel / ZnO | -30 + 180°C | Organic-based thermal compound |
Thermalpaste 7000 | Synthetic | Inorganic / solid lubricants | -30 + 200°C | Silicone-based thermal grease |
Thermalpaste 8500 | PFPE | PTFE / ZnO | -20 + 280°C | Fluorinated-based thermal compound |
