Compressed air is an efficient engine, present in any design field, allowing for the execution of various stages of production, of any kind and level.
Pneumatic devices are present in a wide variety of machines and their full functionality ensures the efficiency of all production equipment.
Automation, wood and paper processing machines, dosing devices, packaging machinery, lifting equipment .... within each of these manufacturing processes a valve or a pneumatic cylinder is operating, and its cost represents a small percentage of the finished product's entire economic value, but its full functionality is essential for completion of the normal production process.
The proper and prolonged operation of a pneumatic component cannot be separated from two fundamental aspects: the sealing element and the lubricant. The friction that develops between the sealing ring and the metal or plastic counter-body undergoing joint movement must be minimized during the early stages of operation.
The premature wear of the sealing ring cannot be underrated, as premature breakage and/or a loss in efficiency would, inevitably, hinder production.
Macon Research is active in the pneumatic component industry, with synthetic lubricant solutions capable minimizing friction between metal and polymeric surfaces, even in the presence of reduced supply pressure: energy savings require the implementation of pneumatic devices, the activation of which requires a minimum amount of energy, which is why the use of ceramic solid lubricants with a low coefficient of friction has contributed to the success of Macon Research lubricants.
